What we do...

 

Bon Education is a learning and development company with headquarters in the United Arab Emirates. We spend our time creating and implementing learning and development workshops, programs, events and retreats for companies, governments, small businesses, community organizations and nonprofits.

 

We were founded in 2008 to work on human development projects in the UAE. Since then we have expanded and have worked on learning initiatives in China, Bahrain, Lebanon, Oman, Puerto Rico, the UAE, the USA, Qatar and more.

Anna Batchelder (Co-Founder and Chief Education Officer)

Learning and development practitioner, Anna is passionate about using experiential education and technology to promote meaningful learning, cross-cultural understanding and great ideas. She has led education product development, professional development and online community initiatives for organizations across the Middle East, North America and Asia. Anna is an education advisor to the Shelter Dubai and the Archive Dubai and regularly writes and presents on topics at the intersection of learning and technology.

 

She holds an MA in international and comparative education from Columbia University Teachers’ College and a BA in economics from the College of William and Mary, with additional studies at Oxford University and the Coaches Training Institute. Anna is a former English teacher.

 

 

Christopher Batchelder (Co-Founder and President)

Christopher holds a certification in co-active coaching from The Coaches Training Institute. He is a member of the International Coaches Federation and the Institute for Professional Coaching affiliated with the Harvard Medical School. He studied Classics at Northwestern University.  His latest projects include work in the Ras al Khaimah prison, work with public school leaders, community education programs in Dubai as well as corporate learning and development restructuring projects.

 

Christopher leads workshops, develops educational programming and consults on educational and learning strategy for organizations. He has worked across the Middle East, Asia and North America.

 

Mary Ames (Education Program Manager)

Mary focuses on instructional and educational design projects in additional to working closely with clients to help them with needs assessments, research, focus groups and data collection. Mary holds a masters in education from the University of Oregon.
